Civic Innovation Lab creates a collaborative, multi-stakeholder process designed to develop and implement real, impactful solutions that address civic and social challenges.

I want to mentor social innovators and early-stage startups or offer my skill set and time pro bono to digital projects.

Are you passionate about solving civic and social issues in Los Angeles? Do you want to be part of a growing civic tech ecosystem and contribute to making LA a better place to live?

If so, we’re always looking for design mavens, policy wonks, data experts, and other digital wizards to join our community of pro bono enthusiasts and startup mentors. As participants in our Pro Bono Tech program, digital professionals have the opportunity to work on short-term projects that benefit our local nonprofit partners. As mentors for our innovation challenge and civic incubator programs, subject matter experts have the opportunity to advise innovators as they develop and launch solutions addressing pressing social and civic issues.

I want to run an innovation challenge or build a civic incubator for my company, foundation, or local government.

Civic Innovation Lab is uniquely positioned to develop community-based civic innovation programs in partnership with local government, foundations, corporations, and nonprofit organizations. In cooperation with our client partners, we design, execute, and promote civic innovation challenges and civic incubator programs at the local and regional levels. Let us know if you’d like to learn more about developing a civic innovation program for your organization.

I want to sponsor a Pro Bono Tech cohort, an innovation challenge, or a civic incubator.

As a financial or in-kind supporter of any one of our civic innovation programs, sponsors have the opportunity to engage with the growing civic tech community in Los Angeles and invest in user-driven innovation that impacts our most underserved residents. Sponsors provide essential support that enables Civic Innovation Lab to provide resources to shape promising solutions to civic and social challenges.
